Hani Nahmias Reveals Hearing Aid Use for First Time on Reality Show

Hani Nahmias, participating in the new Channel 13 reality show "Power Couple" alongside her partner Yehuda Elias, disclosed a personal secret for the first time during the episode aired Wednesday. Nahmias revealed she has hearing difficulties and uses hearing aids, a condition she had kept hidden even from close family. She shared that about a year and a half ago, her daughter noticed her hearing loss, saying, "Mom, you don’t hear well." Nahmias explained the hearing loss appeared suddenly but fortunately only at a later age.

She described her profession as somewhat helpful since it involves amplified sound, which acts like a large hearing aid. Despite this, Nahmias expressed feelings of discomfort and embarrassment, noting that hearing impairment is particularly challenging in her line of work as a singer and actress. She said, "It’s hard to live with a secret. What am I hiding? Suddenly I felt foolish. I haven’t done anything wrong."

Following the episode, Nahmias took to Instagram to thank supporters and emphasize that her hearing condition does not stop her from continuing her career. She is currently rehearsing for musical theater and feels a great sense of relief after sharing her story publicly. Nahmias highlighted the importance of openness and encouraged others by showing strength in vulnerability.
