After Emily Cooper breakup, Idan Galper loses his tech job
Reality TV alum Idan Galper, 31, is going through a difficult stretch after splitting last month from Emily Cooper, shortly after the two moved in together. Israeli outlet mako reported Monday that Galper, who works as a programmer in the tech industry, has now also been fired from his job.
The job loss came only recently after he had already been forced to leave the couple’s shared apartment in Tel Aviv about three months after moving in. The separation follows a relationship marked by repeated ups and downs, including a breakup and then a reunion announced in May 2025.
Galper and Cooper first met on the set of “Big Brother” two years ago. Their relationship did not survive outside the house the first time around, but the comeback looked promising until it ended again. Just before the breakup, the pair had also had to deny rumors that they were engaged.
In a story he posted last month, Galper wrote that he had tried to make sure the news came from him first, saying, “Unfortunately it did not really work.” He added, “Emily and I are separating. It is not fun, it is not pleasant, especially when it is like this in front of the whole world. We had good times and sometimes less good. Like in every relationship, we are not special. Sometimes you just understand that this is not it, and that is okay.”
