After Emily Cooper breakup, Idan Galper loses his high-tech job

Idan Galper, 31, who became known through reality TV, has been hit by another setback after his split from Emily Cooper last month. According to a report published Monday by mako Celebs, Galper was also fired from his high-tech programming job.

The job loss comes not long after he was forced to leave the Tel Aviv apartment he had shared with Cooper, only about three months after moving in. The couple had already been dealing with breakup rumors and, shortly before separating, had denied speculation that they were engaged.

Galper and Cooper met on "Big Brother" two years ago. Their relationship did not last after the show, but they later reunited in May 2025. The comeback looked promising until it fell apart last month.

In a story he posted then, Galper wrote that he had tried to have the breakup appear first on his own account, but that did not work. "Emily and I are breaking up," he said. "It's not fun, it's not pleasant, especially when it's like this in front of the whole world. We had good times and sometimes less good times. Like in every relationship, we're not special. Sometimes you just understand it's not it, and that's okay."
