Ukrainian Winger Oleksiy Gostoliak Demands High Salary Amid Haifa Links

Oleksiy Gostoliak, a Ukrainian right winger who recently ended his contract with Polissya Zhytomyr, has been linked with a move to Maccabi Haifa during the current transfer window. Despite interest from several clubs, including some from the Champions League, Gostoliak remains without a team two months after the injury of Haifa’s Manuel Benson.

Gostoliak’s agent, Oleg Avdeysh, revealed in a recent interview that the player is demanding an annual salary between one and two million euros, depending on the country where he signs. Avdeysh emphasized that players of Gostoliak’s caliber attract significant interest, especially as the transfer window nears its close.

For context, Maccabi Haifa’s highest-paid player historically was Dia Saba, earning around 600,000 euros per season. Manuel Benson, who signed a year-and-a-half contract after leaving Burnley, earns approximately 400,000 euros annually plus a 300,000 euro signing bonus.
