Austrian Club Wolfsberger Seeks Maccabi Bnei Reineh Goalkeeper Lior Glicklich

Austrian football club Wolfsberger is reportedly interested in signing Lior Glicklich, the 23-year-old goalkeeper currently playing for Maccabi Bnei Reineh. Glicklich, who holds an Austrian passport, could join Wolfsberger as the backup goalkeeper to their main keeper, Lukas Gütlbauer. This move comes after Wolfsberger's previous second-choice goalkeeper, Nikolas Polster, transferred to Dutch club NEC Nijmegen, leaving the Austrian team in need of a new reserve goalkeeper. According to Austrian media, Wolfsberger aims to complete the signing within the week. Glicklich recently played against Bnei Yehuda and his Austrian citizenship is advantageous as he would not count as a foreign player in the Austrian league. Wolfsberger has a history of employing Israeli players, including Shon Weissman, who scored 37 goals in one season, Eliel Peretz, and Tai Baribo, who later moved to Major League Soccer.
