Austrian Club Wolfsberger Targets Maccabi Bnei Reineh Goalkeeper Lior Glicklich
Austrian football club Wolfsberger is reportedly interested in signing Lior Glicklich, the 23-year-old goalkeeper from Israeli club Maccabi Bnei Reineh. Glicklich, who holds an Austrian passport, could join Wolfsberger as the backup goalkeeper to their main keeper, Lukas Guttlaubauer. The club is seeking a replacement after their previous second-choice goalkeeper, Nikolas Polster, transferred to Dutch club NEC Nijmegen. According to Austrian media, Wolfsberger aims to finalize the signing within this week. Glicklich played recently in a match against Bnei Yehuda and his Austrian citizenship is advantageous as it means he would not count as a foreign player in the Austrian league. Wolfsberger has a history of employing Israeli players, including Shon Weissman, Eliel Peretz, and Tai Baribo, who later moved to Major League Soccer.
