Garrison Mathews Joins Olimpia Milano for First EuroLeague Season After Six Years in NBA

Garrison Mathews, a 29-year-old shooting guard known for his sharpshooting, has signed with Olimpia Milano, marking his debut in the EuroLeague. After spending six years in the NBA, Mathews agreed to a one-year contract with an option to extend. He expressed excitement about starting a new chapter in his career and appreciation for the opportunity provided by the Italian club.

Mathews went undrafted in 2019 but began his NBA career with the Washington Wizards, where he played for two seasons and notably teamed up with Israeli player Deni Avdija. He later played for the Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, and Indiana Pacers. Over 329 NBA games, Mathews averaged 6.4 points per game with a 38.2% three-point shooting percentage. His best season came with the Rockets in 2021-22, when he averaged 10 points per game.

This move to Olimpia Milano represents a significant transition for Mathews as he embarks on competing in Europe's premier basketball competition for the first time.
