Police Shut Down Eilat Tourist Business for 17 Days After Violent Pepper Spray Fight

On August 14, a violent altercation broke out at a tourist center in Eilat involving multiple individuals who used pepper spray. The business where the incident occurred failed to report the event to the police immediately, violating the terms of its operating license. During the investigation, authorities uncovered additional concerns regarding the conduct of the business owners or their representatives. Based on these findings and under the authority granted by Section 23(a) of the Business Licensing Law, Senior Superintendent Moshe Klein of the Eilat district ordered the business to close for 17 days through an administrative order. The police emphasized their commitment to combating violence and holding business owners accountable for actions that threaten public safety and security.
