Five Injured in Agricultural Land Explosion Near Metula, One Critically
Early Tuesday morning around 7:15 AM, five workers were injured by an unexploded ordnance blast in an agricultural area near Metula in northern Israel. Emergency medical teams provided initial life-saving treatment at the scene. Among the injured, one person is in critical condition, another in moderate condition, and three sustained minor injuries. The critically and moderately injured were urgently airlifted by helicopter to a hospital for further medical care.
Preliminary reports suggest the explosion involved cluster munitions, but the exact circumstances and origin of the ordnance remain under investigation and have not been officially confirmed. Bomb disposal units and explosive ordnance disposal teams were dispatched to the site to conduct thorough searches and ensure no additional explosives remain in the area.
