Seven Jewish Tourists Attacked in Barcelona Port Amid Antisemitic Shouts
Seven Jewish tourists from France, some wearing kippahs and one dressed in Hasidic attire, were attacked by a crowd of hundreds at Barcelona port. The group endured about 40 minutes of antisemitic abuse, including shouts of "Jews are not welcome here," "Death to Israel," and "baby killers," alongside spitting and curses. The incident began when a woman displaying pro-Palestinian symbols noticed the group and shouted in solidarity, quickly drawing a large hostile crowd around them. Jimmy Zagron, one of the victims, recounted the terrifying and humiliating ordeal in a French TV interview, describing how attempts to calm the attackers by explaining his French citizenship were ignored. As the situation escalated and their safety was threatened, the tourists split up to escape the mob. After nearly 45 minutes of harassment, all seven managed to flee and return safely to their hotel in Barcelona.
