AliExpress Launches Back-to-School Sale with Discounts and Free Shipping in Israel

AliExpress has announced its annual Back-to-School sale in Israel, running from August 17 to 28, offering discounts of up to 80% on a wide range of products including school supplies, office items, and technology. The company promises free home delivery for orders over 139 shekels, a reduction from the previous threshold of 169 shekels, along with faster shipping times and the option to select a convenient pickup point via an upgraded map-based system.

The sale features deeply discounted items such as pencil cases for 6.09 shekels (down from 37.19), school backpacks for 42.06 shekels (down from 111), six-pack markers for 6.04 shekels, geometry sets for 7 shekels, and hardcover notebooks for 13.15 shekels. AliExpress assures that orders under the AliExpress Choice program will arrive within an estimated 14 days, with some deliveries arriving in as few as nine days, aiming to ensure students receive their supplies before the school year starts on September 1.

Customers should note that free shipping applies only to home deliveries, while pickup point shipping terms remain unchanged. Additional charges such as VAT, customs, and clearance fees may apply. This sale comes amid a competitive retail environment in Israel, with local chains like Max Stock, Kravitz, and Rami Levy also offering discounted school supplies.

Separately, AliExpress recently faced a 550 million euro fine from the European Union over allegations of allowing counterfeit and unsafe products to be sold, a decision the company plans to appeal.
