AliExpress Launches Back-to-School Sale with Lower Free Shipping Threshold in Israel

Chinese e-commerce giant AliExpress has kicked off its annual Back-to-School sale in Israel, running from August 16 to August 28. The promotion offers discounts of up to 80% on a wide range of products including school and office supplies, technology, and home goods. AliExpress aims to attract Israeli consumers by enhancing the shopping and delivery experience during this period.

Key improvements include a reduction in the average shipping time to 14 days, with some orders arriving in as little as 9 days, allowing customers to receive their purchases before the school year starts on September 1. Additionally, the minimum purchase amount for free home delivery has been lowered from 169 shekels to 139 shekels, aligning more closely with competitors like Amazon, which offers free shipping on selected items over $49.

Another notable upgrade is the option for customers to pre-select the exact pickup location for their packages. This change addresses previous complaints about automatic assignment of distant pickup points, enhancing convenience for Israeli buyers. Despite these improvements, customers are reminded that most shipments still originate from China, requiring advance planning as last-minute orders may not arrive on time.
