Vizhnitz Celebrates Grand Torah Ceremony and Wedding of Rebbe’s Grandson with Damascus Eliezer Memorial

Last Saturday, the Vizhnitz Hasidic community in Bnei Brak held a joyous Torah initiation ceremony in honor of the wedding of the Vizhnitz Rebbe’s grandson. The groom, Ben, is the son of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager, the youngest son of the late Rabbi Yisrael Eliezer Hager, the revered Rabbi of Sert-Vizhnitz Jerusalem. The bride is the daughter of Rabbi Zusha Horonchik, the Rabbi of Radashitz Beit Shemesh, and the granddaughter of Rabbi Yehuda Yechiel Sheinfeld, the Talteshava Rebbe.

The celebration took place at the large Beit Midrash in Kiryat Vizhnitz, Bnei Brak. During the third meal of the festive day, participants completed the study of all six orders of the Mishnah to mark the yahrzeit (anniversary of passing) of the "Damascus Eliezer," the esteemed Vizhnitz Rebbe who passed away. Following this, a grand "Parshpil" (festive dance and celebration) was held in honor of the wedding, with the participation of the Vizhnitz Rebbe himself.

The event was richly documented with numerous photographs capturing the spirited dancing and communal joy. This combination of a significant family wedding and the remembrance of a prominent spiritual leader highlighted the deep traditions and unity within the Vizhnitz community.
