TJ Klein to Join BIG3 Before Season Ends
TJ Klein will miss the final two games of the season and is expected not to play in tonight's match against Elitzur Netanya, after his team secured another season in the Israeli Premier League. With the club's consent, the forward has flown to the United States to take part in the BIG3 tournament, the 3-on-3 league created by rapper and actor Ice Cube.
The BIG3 was founded in 2017 by Ice Cube and businessman Jeff Kwatinetz. Its games are broadcast on major U.S. networks and each summer draw former NBA standouts such as Dwight Howard, Amar'e Stoudemire and Nate Robinson, along with college stars and international players.
The league is played on a half court and uses special rules designed to raise the tempo and entertainment value, including a four-point shot from unusual distances.
