TJ Klein to Join BIG3 Before the Season Ends
Forward TJ Klein will not take part in the final two games of the season and has already missed Sunday night’s game against Elitzur Netanya. His team has already secured another season in the Israeli Premier League, allowing him to leave with its approval.
Klein is flying to the United States to play in BIG3, the 3-on-3 league founded in 2017 by rapper and actor Ice Cube and businessman Jeff Kwatinetz. The league, whose games are broadcast on major U.S. networks, brings in prominent former NBA players every summer, along with college stars and international talent.
Among the former NBA names associated with the league are Dwight Howard, Amar'e Stoudemire and Nate Robinson. The games are played on a half court and use special rules designed to increase pace and entertainment, including a four-point shot from unusual distances.
