Israel Excludes Nursing Home Residents From Voting, Sparking Criticism

Israel's decision to exclude residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities from having dedicated polling stations in the upcoming Knesset elections has drawn sharp criticism. The move, justified by election authorities as avoiding "inequality" between those living in such facilities and other elderly citizens, effectively denies about 37,000 elderly residents the practical ability to vote.
