Hadash Unveils Knesset Candidates, Calls for Reestablishing Joint Arab-Jewish List
Hadash held an event in Tel Aviv on Thursday evening to present its candidates for the upcoming Knesset elections, emphasizing the promotion of Arab-Jewish partnership and advocating for the reformation of the Joint List. Key participants included Dr. Yousef Jabareen, MK Ofer Cassif, Dr. Nihaya Washahi, Iyad Nator, and Amir Badran, deputy mayor of Tel Aviv-Jaffa.
Dr. Jabareen highlighted that Hadash seeks a genuine partnership based on shared values and a deep belief in equality, rather than one driven solely by electoral gains. "We offer a partnership based on truth, not just to gain more votes or mandates in the Knesset," he stated. He described the Arab-Jewish partnership as foundational to building an equal and democratic society.
MK Ofer Cassif addressed recent incidents in Kusra in the West Bank, labeling them as "state terrorism" rather than mere settler violence. He affirmed that Hadash has actively addressed these issues in the outgoing Knesset and intends to continue this work in the next session.
The event underscored Hadash's commitment to reviving the Joint List and strengthening cooperation between Arab and Jewish communities ahead of the elections.
