Palestinian media report the reestablishment of the settlement of Ganim in the northern West Bank near Jenin, with Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich participating in the event. The original settlement was evacuated in 2005. The renewed settlement is named after the biblical site "Ein Ganim," which is traditionally associated with the city of Jenin.
