The settlement of Ganim in the northern West Bank has been reestablished, twenty years after its evacuation. This initiative is led by Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council, and Minister Bezalel Smotrich. Smotrich commented on the move, stating, "We are erasing the disgrace of the expulsion, the government of Eisenkot-Lieberman-Golan will evacuate the new settlements."
