Likud MK Tali Gottlieb Denounces Internal Party Conflict and Criticizes IDF Recruitment Video Targeting Haredim

Likud Member of Knesset Tali Gottlieb spoke out in a radio interview on August 12, 2026, addressing internal disputes within the Likud party regarding reserved spots on the party list for the upcoming elections. Gottlieb accused veteran party members of attempting to weaken her position despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's support, firmly denying rumors that Netanyahu wants to exclude her from a top spot. On another matter, Gottlieb condemned a recent Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Intelligence Directorate video encouraging Haredi youth to enlist. She compared the video’s portrayal of Haredi families to scenes reminiscent of Nazi Germany, specifically Auschwitz, calling the depiction degrading and offensive. Gottlieb stated she would not support turning the Haredi community into a "sick enemy" and stressed the importance of coalition politics that respect all sectors, including the Haredim.
