Kiryat Shmona Approaches Maccabi Haifa Midfielder Ratner, Haifa Declines

Maccabi Haifa is continuing its preparations for the upcoming Israeli Premier League season, with several players in the squad attracting attention. One notable player is midfielder Navot Ratner, who emerged as a key discovery last season by scoring one goal and providing two assists in 15 appearances. Ahead of the new season, Kiryat Shmona reportedly expressed interest in Ratner, but Maccabi Haifa refused the approach. Despite Ratner not featuring in three of Haifa's four official matches so far this season, the club believes he will still contribute this year. Currently, players Yarin Levi, Eitan Azoulay, Ali Mohamed, and Cedric Don are preferred in midfield, with Bronninio's position considered secure.

Meanwhile, defender Daniel Golani, who returned from a loan spell at Ironi Tiberias after being purchased last summer for 70,000 shekels from Bnei Sakhnin, has been informed he is not in Maccabi Haifa's professional plans following the training camp. Golani is reportedly close to finalizing a move back to Ironi Tiberias, the club he played for last season.
