Kiryat Shmona Approaches Maccabi Haifa Midfielder Ratner, Haifa Declines

Maccabi Haifa is continuing its preparations for the upcoming Israeli Premier League season, with several players in the squad attracting interest. One notable player is midfielder Navot Ratner, who was one of last season's breakout stars, scoring one goal and providing two assists in 15 appearances. Recently, Hapoel Kiryat Shmona expressed interest in Ratner, but Maccabi Haifa refused to release him. Despite not playing in three of Haifa's four official matches this season, the club believes Ratner will still contribute this year. Currently, Yarin Levi, Eitan Azoulai, Ali Mohamed, and Cedric Don are preferred in midfield, while Bruno's position remains secure.

Meanwhile, defender Daniel Golani, who returned from a loan at Hapoel Tiberias after being signed last summer for 70,000 shekels from Bnei Sakhnin, has been informed he is not part of Maccabi Haifa's professional plans following the training camp. Golani is reportedly close to finalizing a return to Hapoel Tiberias, the club he played for last season.
