Otzma Yehudit Warns Netanyahu Against Unity Government With Gadi Eisenkot

Otzma Yehudit sharply criticized the Likud party's election slogan on Tuesday, interpreting it as an indication that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to form a unity government with Gadi Eisenkot, leader of the Yisrael party, after the elections. The party expressed concern that such a coalition would halt judicial reforms and strengthen the positions of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and Supreme Court President Isaac Amit. "A unity government with Eisenkot would bury judicial reform and be a complete victory for Baharav-Miara and Amit," Otzma Yehudit stated.

The party also launched a strong attack against Eisenkot and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz, both former members of the emergency government. Otzma Yehudit accused them of opposing several military operations during their tenure, including the conquest of the Philadelphi Corridor, Rafah, the security zone in Lebanon, the elimination of Nasrallah, and the Biberim operation. They further alleged that Eisenkot and Gantz supported conceding to Hamas's demands in negotiations, describing their stance as a "total surrender" to the terrorist organization.

Otzma Yehudit directed its message primarily at right-wing voters, emphasizing that forming a unity government would contradict their wishes and expectations. "Right-wing voters deserve a right-wing government," the party concluded, signaling that the potential alliance between Likud and Eisenkot will be a central point of contention within the right-wing bloc throughout the election campaign.
