Prominent Gur Hasid Rabbi David Shlomo Ringel Passes Away at 72
Rabbi David Shlomo Ringel, a respected figure among the Gur Hasidim in Beit Shemesh and former resident of Jerusalem's Givat Shaul neighborhood, passed away at the age of 72. Born on Rosh Hashanah 1954 to Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Ringel, he was also the son-in-law of Rabbi Abba Yitzchak Waksman. Known for his noble character and warm demeanor, Rabbi Ringel was beloved by friends and acquaintances for his radiant smile and kind presence.
His funeral took place on Tuesday, the 28th of Menachem Av 5786 (August 6, 2024), at 5:30 PM, starting from the Shamgar Funeral Home in Jerusalem and proceeding to Har HaMenuchot cemetery for burial. He leaves behind a distinguished family, including sons, daughters, and grandchildren who continue to follow the path of Torah and Hasidism. Among his children is the musician Rabbi Asher Ringel.
