The story · English

Rabbi Schneur Zalman Feldman, who served for years as head of the Chabad "Tomchei Tmimim" small yeshiva in Rishon LeZion, died after a serious illness at the age of 42. In his final year, he also served as a lecturer and respondent at the Chabad yeshiva in Netanya.

Feldman lived in Kfar Chabad. He was the son of Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Feldman and was married into the Schneerson family in the Nahalat Har Chabad neighborhood of Kiryat Malakhi. His mother came from the Zaks family, described as one of the first families in Kfar Chabad after its founding.

For many years, Feldman led the small yeshiva in Rishon LeZion from the time it opened until it closed several months ago. Those who knew him described him as an inspiring figure with strong reverence for Heaven and great dedication to Torah study. They said he devoted himself to his students and encouraged them to rise and deepen their learning in Torah and Chassidut.

In recent times he suffered intense pain, and on the past Shabbat he returned his soul to his Creator. His funeral took place overnight in Kfar Chabad, where his young children recited Kaddish in tears. The procession left his parents' home on Admor HaRaya"tz Street 14 and continued to the cemetery in Safed, where he was buried.
