Fire Destroys French Summer Yeshiva Camp Dormitory While Students Are in Switzerland

A massive fire broke out at the "Machane Chazon" summer camp located in a mountainous region of France, completely destroying one of the residential buildings. The incident occurred on the camp's final day while a group of 60 students from England and staff were away on a trip to Glacier 3000 in Switzerland, ensuring no injuries. Despite the extensive damage, including the complete loss of beds and equipment, the study hall and other camp buildings remained unharmed. Remarkably, all the students' tefillin sets were found intact on the ashes of the burned beds. The timing of the fire spared the organizers from having to arrange long-term alternative housing solutions.
