IDF Reveals East Re'im Shelter Massacre Report: 100 Militants Involved, Only Three Killed So Far

The Israel Defense Forces presented a detailed investigation to the bereaved families regarding the massacre at the East Re'im shelter, where 29 people were killed, 12 survived, and one was abducted to Gaza. Among the victims were Noral and Roya Menzuri, daughters of Menashe Menzuri, who expressed profound grief upon learning that approximately 100 militants participated in the attack, but only three have been killed to date.

During the briefing, Menashe Menzuri described the horrific ordeal endured by the victims, including grenade explosions and gunfire inside the shelter, calling the event a "hell." He criticized the limited military success, stating that while most militants have been identified, only three have been neutralized, with the majority still alive in Gaza.

Chen Zander, whose sister Noa was also killed in the attack, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the low number of militants killed despite the scale of the assault. She refrained from sharing further details of the investigation but highlighted the stark fact that out of 100 militants who seized the junction and carried out the massacre, only three have been eliminated so far.

The IDF's presentation to the families came nearly two years and ten months after the October 7 attack, providing a comprehensive account of the events and the ongoing challenges in addressing the perpetrators.
