Frida Uzi’el’s backstage wardrobe crisis at Ofer Nissim’s Pride party
Frida Uzi’el, a former contestant on “Big Brother” and a singer, performed on Saturday night at Ofer Nissim’s traditional Pride party in Tel Aviv’s Yarkon area. The event took place after years of cancellations because of the security situation, following Tel Aviv’s Pride Parade on Friday afternoon.
According to the report, Uzi’el had planned her outfit in advance for a Purim party that was later canceled because of the war with Iran. She kept the clothes for the right occasion and brought them out for the performance, but forgot that since Purim she had undergone breast reduction surgery and lost a significant amount of weight.
When she tried on the look backstage, it did not fit as expected and reportedly looked like a “burlap sack.” The wardrobe mishap caused confusion and left the singer in tears, but stylist Mazal Hasson, who also styles Anna Zak, quickly found her a replacement outfit at the last minute.
Thanks to the emergency fix, Uzi’el was able to go on stage happily and perform. Alongside her, Anna Zak, Nasrin Qadri, and Shiri Maimon also appeared at the party, which drew about 14,000 revelers.
