Firefighters Battle Large Blaze Near Argaman in Jordan Valley Amid Multiple Regional Fires

Firefighters from the Shomron regional station, supported by neighboring district teams, are currently combating a significant wildfire near the Argaman settlement in the Jordan Valley. The fire is spreading rapidly toward nearby date palm orchards, driven by harsh weather conditions. To contain the blaze, four firefighting planes from the Elad squadron have been deployed alongside ground crews and engineering equipment.

This fire is part of a series of large wildfires that have affected the Jordan Valley over the past few days. Firefighting teams have been responding to multiple significant fires in grazing lands, agricultural areas, and nature reserves throughout the region during the last three days.

Meanwhile, in the Judea area, firefighters have reported gaining control over a fire at Karem Hamami farm. Fire crews will remain on site for several hours to complete extinguishing efforts and prevent flare-ups. In recent days, firefighting teams in Judea and Samaria have also dealt with several other fires, including one at Hill 26 north of Kiryat Arba, another in the Beit Dror settlement in southern Mount Hebron, and a fire along Route 5 in Samaria that started from a burning vehicle and spread to open terrain.
