The discussion intensified around the stance of Lapid's partner in party leadership, Naftali Bennett, regarding LGBTQ rights.

During a tense moment, Lapid was asked whether he could guarantee the passage of full equality rights, given that the current government led significant steps for the community but did not go far enough, and considering Bennett's alliances with conservative factions. Lapid responded firmly, affirming his commitment to full equality. He also addressed Bennett's personal evolution, noting that during Pride Month, Bennett shared how he grew up in a religious and conservative environment but changed his views. Lapid emphasized the importance of people capable of change, stating, "We will change Israeli society, but Bennett no longer needs to be changed, he has changed."
