Senior Media Figure Criticizes Israeli Outlets for Joint Exclusive Interview Broadcast

Dr. Yifat Ben-Hai Segev, a former chair of the Israeli Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Council, sharply criticized Israeli media outlets for their unprecedented joint broadcast of an exclusive interview with Yoav Horowitz, former head of the Prime Minister's Office. Speaking on the radio program "We Are the Majority" hosted by Avi Greenzeig on Galei Yisrael, Ben-Hai Segev expressed disbelief at the unusual media cooperation, stating she has not witnessed such a shared exclusivity in her 30 years in journalism.

She questioned the media's abandonment of their usual competitive drive for exclusives and primacy, suggesting that the collaboration among three channels indicated a convergence of interests overriding journalistic standards. Ben-Hai Segev argued that this rare media alignment revealed the underlying political motivations influencing Israeli media, calling it a "self-inflicted wound" by the channels involved.
