Religious Zionism Party Erects Directional Signs in Northern West Bank After Jenin Attack

Following a violent incident in Jenin where a mother and her son were attacked after mistakenly entering the city, the Religious Zionism party has installed directional signs in northern Samaria to guide Israelis and prevent navigation errors. The signs point to locations including Mevo Dotan, Emek Dotan, Homesh, and Shannur, as well as key routes in the area. The party emphasized that northern Samaria is a thriving and renewing settlement region open to all Israelis for visits and tourism without fear, stating, "We will not allow terror to dictate the roads." This initiative aims to strengthen public connection to the settlements and make them more accessible and recognizable.

The attack occurred last Thursday when the mother and son, residents of Samaria, accidentally entered Jenin while en route to meet friends in Afula. Upon realizing their location, they were approached by dozens of Palestinians who tried to open their car doors and threw stones. The mother managed to escape with her son and continued driving until they met with an IDF force. Neither was physically harmed, but their vehicle was damaged. The IDF confirmed the incident, stating the civilians entered Jenin unintentionally and were attacked by terrorists throwing stones. Following the event, IDF forces conducted operations and arrests in the city area. The military reiterated that entry into Area A is forbidden, dangerous for Israelis, and illegal under Israeli law.
