When Eitan’s brother forcibly entered the locked ward, he witnessed what he described as rough handling of Eitan by the medical staff, including being turned in bed with excessive force causing his head to hit the mattress. Despite the distress, no immediate assistance was provided.
The family’s repeated requests to briefly enter the ward to check on the soldiers were denied, raising serious concerns about the care and security provided to wounded IDF soldiers. Shani contrasted this with the security measures afforded to hospitalized terrorists, questioning why similar protections are not extended to Israeli soldiers.
