Defense Minister appoints Brig. Gen. Hisham Ibrahim as military secretary
Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Sunday that Brig. Gen. Hisham Ibrahim will serve as his military secretary, following the recommendation of the IDF chief of staff. Ibrahim, who is from the Druze community, currently heads the Civil Administration.
According to the announcement, Ibrahim has held several senior posts during his military career, including chief armor officer, commander of the 460th and 205th brigades, and deputy commander of Division 91. Katz said he was confident Ibrahim would carry out the important role successfully during a “challenging and significant” security period for Israel.
The defense minister also informed the chief of staff of the appointment. Ibrahim is set to take up the new position immediately.
