Student Wears Palestinian Flag Shirt at Mauthausen Memorial, Sparking Confrontation

A student visiting the Mauthausen concentration camp memorial in Austria was recorded wearing a shirt displaying the slogan "Free Palestine," alongside a Palestinian flag and an image identified as Dalal Mughrabi, the militant who led the 1978 Coastal Road massacre that killed 38 Israelis, including 13 children. A Jewish young woman named Jordana noticed the student and documented the incident, confronting him and his teachers. During the confrontation, Jordana accused them of promoting genocide at a site commemorating a real genocide, saying, "You come to a concentration camp and call for war and genocide? Nothing was learned here. Shame on you!" Some students and teachers responded by claiming that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Jordana strongly rejected this comparison, stating it dishonors the memory of over 100,000 victims who perished at the camp. Following the dispute, the memorial staff called the police to the scene.
