Coalition Chair Opir Katz Warns Right-Wing Voters Against Losing Hope Ahead of Elections

Opir Katz, chairman of the coalition and member of the Knesset, warned right-wing voters about the risks of defeat in the upcoming elections and urged them not to lose hope despite challenges in implementing planned reforms. Speaking with Itzik Bonzel on Galei Yisrael radio, Katz acknowledged skepticism among some right-wing supporters who feel the reforms were incomplete but stressed that if they give up, the Attorney General and judiciary will have succeeded in their agenda.

Katz described the current political and legal struggle as a fight to ensure elected officials, not unelected bureaucrats, make decisions. He characterized this as a tough battle against the judiciary, media, and what he called the "deep state," emphasizing the need for perseverance.

He warned that losing the elections would allow the opposing camp to appoint key legal figures such as the Attorney General, State Prosecutor, and Supreme Court judges, making current controversial decisions the norm. Katz concluded by calling the upcoming elections among the most critical for Israel's democracy and Jewish identity.
