Israeli Musician Verbally Attacked in Pennsylvania Burger King, Employee Fired and Crowdfunds Nearly $100K

Israeli musician Rami Feinstein was verbally attacked at a Burger King branch in Pennsylvania after wearing a Star of David necklace. The employee, Ariana Hamilton, shouted "Free Palestine" at Feinstein while he was purchasing food for his family. Feeling threatened, Feinstein canceled his order and left the restaurant, later sharing a video of the incident on social media questioning the safety of the chain for Jewish customers.

Burger King swiftly responded by firing Hamilton and stating the company has zero tolerance for antisemitism, hatred, or discrimination of any kind. Hamilton posted a video on her Instagram claiming her remarks were an exercise of free speech rather than personal hatred, explaining that Feinstein initially identified as being from New Jersey and only later revealed his Israeli identity by showing his Star of David necklace, which prompted her reaction.

Following her dismissal, Hamilton launched a crowdfunding campaign to cover basic expenses until she finds new employment, successfully raising close to $100,000. Feinstein told N12 that his goal is to encourage Jews and Israelis worldwide not to fear expressing their identity and to stand firm on their rights. He emphasized pride in his heritage and the importance of supporting Israel, noting previous antisemitic incidents his family has endured.

Feinstein, temporarily in New Jersey on a mission with the Jewish community, highlighted his commitment to openly wearing his Star of David necklace despite hostility. He views his music and public presence as a mission to support Jews feeling isolated and to promote pride in Jewish and Zionist identity.
