MK Dan Illouz to Resign from Knesset After Joining Yisrael Beiteinu

MK Dan Illouz, who recently left the Likud party to join Yisrael Beiteinu, announced he will resign from the Knesset in the coming days after completing logistical matters. Illouz sharply criticized his former party and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing Likud of becoming an executor for Aryeh Deri and Yitzhak Goldknopf. He stated that hundreds of thousands of right-wing Zionists have left Likud since the last elections, and that he no longer belongs to a party that has lost its way.

Illouz highlighted his opposition to the evasion law alongside Yisrael Beiteinu members and condemned Netanyahu's leadership failures, including on issues such as the conscription law, handling of Hamas, failure to establish a state investigative committee, and not applying sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. He expressed full support for Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Lieberman, calling him the leader Israel needs and urging voters to strengthen the party for a nationalist government without ultra-Orthodox or Arab parties.

Illouz concluded by reaffirming his commitment to Yisrael Beiteinu's principles and stated that he will continue to represent the voice of right-wing Zionists outside of Likud. His resignation from the Knesset is expected soon, marking a significant political shift ahead of upcoming elections.
