US Restrains Israel After Soldier Deaths Amid Lebanon Negotiations in Rome

Following the deadly incident in southern Lebanon where two Israeli reservists, Harel Birnstok and Tamir Vaknin, were killed by a booby-trapped building explosion in Majdal Zoun, Israeli and Lebanese delegations resumed peace talks in Rome on August 6, 2026.
