Ram Ben Barak Criticizes Gadi Eizenkot's Lack of Government Experience, Confident in Knesset Return

Knesset member Ram Ben Barak spoke on Radio 103FM about his party's standing in the polls and his political future, expressing confidence that he will secure a high position on the party list and return to the next Knesset. He emphasized his main goal is to replace the current government, which he described as poor, and dismissed concerns about his political status.

Ben Barak also commented on Gadi Eizenkot, a former IDF Chief of Staff and political figure, noting that while Eizenkot represents a stark contrast to Netanyahu, he lacks essential government experience. Ben Barak argued that military experience alone is insufficient for political leadership, highlighting that this is a key weakness for Eizenkot compared to other politicians like Naftali Bennett and members of Yesh Atid.

Regarding Yesh Atid MK Yoav Segalovich's rumored potential defection to the Ra'am party, Ben Barak stated that political legitimacy should be based on commitment to Israel as a Jewish, democratic, and equal state. He said those who uphold these principles are worthy of government roles, regardless of ethnicity, while criticizing figures like Ahmad Tibi and Itamar Ben Gvir for opposing these values. Ben Barak stressed that actions and words, not identity, should determine political suitability.
