Pressure and Humiliation in Rishon Lezion School Sparks Legal Action After Private Photos Circulate
A disturbing incident at a school in Rishon Lezion has come to light involving a 10-year-old girl named Hanna (a pseudonym) who was pressured by older students during a game of "Truth or Dare" to remove her pants. The event, which occurred about a month ago near the end of the school year, was recorded on mobile phones and the video quickly spread among students at the school.
Hanna's mother, H, only learned about the incident after receiving a legal document, as no school staff had informed her despite the video being widely circulated and known among students and some school personnel. The mother expressed shock and frustration that the school administration, including the principal, failed to notify her or take immediate action. She described her daughter’s trauma and her own determination to seek justice and protect her child from returning to the school environment where she was humiliated.
The mother is now pursuing legal action with pro bono support from attorney Shir Gorvitz Levi, who condemned the school's inaction and highlighted the severity of the abuse and exploitation of a vulnerable minor. A police complaint has been filed, and the attorney expects law enforcement to take appropriate legal measures against all involved parties. Meanwhile, Hanna and her sister are receiving care and support as they recover from the ordeal.
This case underscores ongoing concerns about peer pressure, bullying, and the responsibility of educational institutions to protect students and communicate transparently with families when such incidents occur.
