Likud MK Moshe Saada Criticizes Supreme Court Ruling Limiting Real-Time Voting Updates

Likud Member of Knesset Moshe Saada sharply criticized Supreme Court Justice Noam Solberg's recent ruling that restricts the real-time transmission of information from polling stations about who has arrived to vote. Speaking on Kol Barama radio, Saada argued that the practice of encouraging voter turnout at polling stations is a longstanding democratic tradition aimed at boosting citizen participation. He acknowledged the court's justification based on privacy concerns but said most of the public is not troubled by reports of voter arrivals. Saada proposed an alternative solution allowing individuals to opt out of such reporting in advance, emphasizing that the current legal reasoning directly harms the organizational capabilities of right-wing parties.

Regarding internal preparations within Likud for upcoming elections and the party list structure, Saada stressed the paramount importance of holding primaries with broad public participation. He described Likud's base as a wide network of activists seeking ethical, ideological, and professional public representatives who will fight for their cause. On the topic of reserved slots on the party list, Saada supported Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's position to include figures from among combatants, bereaved families, and reservists, arguing these steps are essential to reflect the spirit of the times and strengthen the public team.

Saada also reaffirmed his confidence that the judicial reform process will be completed successfully, securing a victory for the right-wing camp.
