Israeli Researchers Uncover Zero-Click Vulnerability in Samsung Phones

Israeli cybersecurity firm Radiant Research Labs revealed a zero-click vulnerability in Samsung devices at the OffensiveCon conference held annually in Berlin. Yuval Kaufman, the company's VP of R&D, presented the security flaw discovered during their cyber research. This zero-click vulnerability allowed unauthorized access to a phone without any action from the user. Typically, such vulnerabilities are disclosed to the manufacturer and patched before public announcement. However, in this case, Samsung had already fixed the flaw prior to its disclosure.

Zero-click vulnerabilities are highly valuable, often worth millions of dollars on the market. Radiant Research Labs specializes in developing and selling such exploits to Western intelligence and security agencies, which use them to maintain national security and public order. In Israel, the sale of these capabilities is strictly regulated by the Defense Export Control Agency within the Ministry of Defense.
