Vojvodina President Rejects Multi-Million Euro Offer from Maccabi Tel Aviv for Star Winger

Dragoljub Zbilic, president of Serbian club Vojvodina Novi Sad, announced on Serbian television that the club has rejected a multi-million euro offer from Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv for their key winger Lazar Rangjelovic. Zbilic emphasized that Rangjelovic is not for sale and confirmed that the player will extend his contract with Vojvodina. "He is very happy here, an important player for us and a national team member," Zbilic said, highlighting the club's intention to build a strong squad and keep Rangjelovic as a cornerstone.

Rangjelovic, 29, is an international Serbian winger with previous experience at Olympiacos, Leganes, and Augsburg, and is considered one of Vojvodina's biggest stars. The club aims to challenge Red Star Belgrade for the Serbian league title this season and is determined to retain its top assets. Despite the lucrative offer from Maccabi Tel Aviv, Vojvodina prefers to maintain professional stability by renewing Rangjelovic's contract, effectively ending any immediate possibility of his transfer to Israel.
