Avigdor Lieberman Criticizes Yair Golan, Rejects Democrats Holding Security Portfolios

Avigdor Lieberman, chairman of the Israel Beytenu party, sharply criticized Yair Golan, leader of the Democratic camp, during remarks made on Monday. Lieberman mocked Golan and declared he would not agree to a government in which the Democrats hold key ministries such as Defense, Public Security, or Justice, calling the idea "simply unacceptable." When asked why he targets Golan, Lieberman replied, "I would be happy to compliment him, only if he would just be silent. That is his greatest contribution to our victory."

Last month, Lieberman also ridiculed Golan over his statements about evacuating outposts, accusing him of lacking coordination between his head and mouth and suggesting Golan should register for a storytelling festival. Lieberman emphasized that the next government should focus on decisive action against enemies like Iran, the Houthis, Hamas, and Hezbollah, prioritizing consensus issues rather than internal disputes.
