Israeli actress and social media personality Maya Wertheimer revealed last week that she is expecting her third child. However, she recently shared a private exchange with a journalist who contacted her for a comment about the pregnancy before she had informed her family. Wertheimer expressed frustration and called the inquiry "really audacious," especially as she is undergoing fertility treatments and maintains strict privacy regarding her medical matters.

Wertheimer explained that the journalist reached out after receiving information that she was about to have a blood test, seeking a response before Wertheimer had even told her mother. In the conversation, Wertheimer denied the pregnancy and criticized the journalist's approach. The journalist responded only with "Ah."

On her Instagram Stories, Wertheimer discussed the incident with Galit Karner, a lawyer specializing in medical negligence, who stated that leaking medical information constitutes a "basic rights violation." Wertheimer further clarified that as a fertility patient, she regularly undergoes tests and takes extra precautions to keep details confidential, often whispering to medical staff. She noted that despite years of IVF treatments, she has never been questioned in this manner before.
