US Signs Deal to Boost Production of Patriot and THAAD Air Defense Components

The US Department of Defense has signed an agreement to increase the production of components for the Patriot and THAAD missile defense systems. The Pentagon urged contractors to accelerate their work under temporary production agreements signed earlier this year to expand missile output. This move responds to the strain on US weapons stockpiles caused by ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine. According to the statement, the new agreement will enable a threefold increase in Patriot missile production and a fourfold increase in THAAD system production.
