Rabbi Ptachia Neria, Son of Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Neria, Passes Away

Rabbi Ptachia Neria, son of Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Neria, a founding figure in Religious Zionism, has passed away. Rabbi Ptachia was deeply involved in education at Yeshivat Kfar HaRoeh, continuing his father's legacy of Torah and service. He leaves behind a large family, including children and grandchildren active in various sectors of Israeli society.

His funeral is scheduled for Monday at 5 p.m. at the cemetery in Kfar HaRoeh, where he will be buried alongside his father, who shaped the Religious Zionist community. Among his family are notable figures such as Meir Rubin, CEO of the Kohelet Forum, and Dr. Rivka Neria Ben Shachar, a respected researcher in communication, religion, and gender.

A poignant family story involves his son, Lt. Col. Moshe Tzvi Neria, a company commander in the Givati Brigade, who was severely wounded during the Iron Swords operation. After a long and difficult rehabilitation, he recovered and recently married. The family and the Religious Zionist community mourn the loss of Rabbi Ptachia just a month after this joyful event.
