Israeli actress Eden Fines recently shared Instagram photos from her trip to Paris, where she wore a crop top revealing her midriff. While the post received 11,000 likes and numerous comments, it also sparked criticism from some viewers concerned about body image and eating disorders.

Actress Liat Blue reposted one of Fines' photos on her Instagram story, expressing that seeing the image made her heart ache. Blue clarified that her critique was not aimed at Fines personally but at a culture that idolizes extreme thinness. Drawing from her own experience with eating disorders, hospitalization, and ongoing recovery, Blue warned that such images can negatively influence young girls who see them as ideals to achieve, potentially at great personal cost. She called for a shift from glorifying thinness to valuing health, highlighting that eating disorders are among the deadliest mental illnesses.

Photographer Adi Barkan, known for advocating against harmful body image standards in the modeling industry, also shared Fines' photo, expressing concern given Fines' past struggles with eating disorders. He hoped that marriage and happiness would reduce her stress and improve her appetite, showing empathy for her followers.

Fines has not publicly responded to the controversy. However, some celebrities defended her, including content creator Shir Turn, who argued that neither thinness nor weight gain should be criticized, urging people to stop commenting on others' bodies.
