Napoli Weighs Backup Options as Union Saint-Gilloise Holds Firm on Hailali Price
Napoli is still pursuing Anan Khalaili, but reports in Italy say the club is also considering other attacking options because Union Saint-Gilloise is refusing to lower its asking price for the 21-year-old Israeli star. The Belgian side is reportedly demanding 25 million euros, while Napoli is only prepared to pay 18 million euros.
According to the report, Napoli has been monitoring Khalaili for a long time, yet the gap between the two clubs remains significant. The Italian club is therefore continuing to examine alternative candidates, including Dudu, who had already been mentioned previously, and Brook Norton-Cuffy, who played for Genoa over the past two seasons.
Despite the stalled transfer talks, Napoli and Khalaili have already reached an agreement in principle on personal terms. If the clubs agree on a transfer fee, the Israeli winger would sign a contract through 2031 and earn 1.3 million euros per season, plus bonuses.
The latest Italian reports suggest Napoli is not willing to meet Union Saint-Gilloise’s full demand, so the club may move toward another target if no compromise is found soon.
